RosesRise.com is an online destination created to inspire self-love by embracing yourself, discover new high/low-cost products, and share life experiences. Launched in 2017 as a hub of all things Amanda Rose from beauty, fashion, health, and more.
Hey there! My name is Amanda Rosario also known as Amanda Rose. Initially, I wanted to create a space where I would document my life as the daughter of someone who was wrongfully convicted. At that time there was a strong desire within to feel the comfort of not being alone in that situation. While faced with so much uncertainty, some of the most comforting words in the universe are “me too”. That moment when you find out that your struggle is also someone else’s struggle, that you’re not alone, and that others have been down the same road.
In 2014 I was featured on the cover of New Yorks Village Voice and I told my story for the first time as the “Prisoners Daughter”. Unexpectedly, in March of 2016, my father was released during what would be the last trip to visit him in a New York correctional facility. After 20 years his 13 alibi witnesses were investigated and he was free to leave the state of New York with his family. The story and experience can be seen on Dateline NBC’s docu-series “Conviction“.
Life was flipped upside down for me when he was released because no one can truly prepare you for the aftermath of something so unexpected. The depression I experienced as a result of this life-changing event heightened which led to feeling lost and absolutely broken. In 2017 I began a journey of healing, self-love, and growth. Since then I have learned to love the person God created me to be, built a community of supportive empowered women, and in 2019 became a co-owner/social media manager of a faith-based nonprofit organization called The Coexist Project.
Ultimately my mission is to inspire, empower, and support young women who struggle with not feeling good enough. As someone who has struggled with body image, anxiety, and depression Roses Rise serves as an outlet for self-expression. I’ve grown so much from my experiences and my biggest hope is to inspire you to take a page out of my book and find yourself by embracing all that you are.
